Starlight Flight scenic flights was founded by owner David Snell in June 1991. Snell is a 1992 graduate of Louisiana Tech Professional Aviation with a BS degree. Snell created Starlight Flight to offer safe and cost effective airplane tours in the Dallas metroplex area for a unique date/special occasion experience. Starlight Flight and the FAA at Dallas Love Field worked together in 2012 to create the first aerial local tour-based set of procedures for safe tour operations. Starlight Flight was the first aerial scenic tour operator to be issued the FAA Approved Letter of Authorization (LOA) for conducting scenic flights. We have been featured on local news channels, 4,5,8,11,33 and most local newspapers.
Pilots/Safety Record
All of our pilots that conduct our airplane tours or offer flight instruction are FAA licensed and certificated Flight Instructors who adhere to specific drug/alcohol testing requirements set forth by the Department of Transportation.
